We are pleased to introduce you to FAYMINISTRIES Outreach Inc., a quality of life organization that speaks to the enhancement of the life qualities of young people in inner-city communities in the New York area and thoughtout the nation. Our mission is to vigilantly help young people, as they attempt to transit their lives to responsible adulthood.

Specifically, FAYMINISTRIES Outreach, Inc., is a community oriented non-profit membership organization that was founded in New York State in 2001, by its Board of Trustees, to promote the quality of life of disadvantaged community youths through music, education, family support, scholarships and apprenticeship training.

Goals

The goals of Fayministries Outreach Inc., are to aid disadvantaged and other relevant means, as they attempt to transit themselves towards being responsible citizens in their domiciled communities as follows:

• To provide support that would enable troubled youths to unerstand their capabilities and mobilize such elements through self-reliant activities.
• To provide support that would enable families to understand their youths as they travel through their teenage years to adulthood.
• To provide financial assistance through the development of a scholarship fund that would help disadvantaged youth in their quest to develop their musical and other talents.
• To operate a food pantry and clothing drive through which New York's needy could acquire fod and clothing.

FAYMINISTRIES' method
Our method entails the following:

• Implementing creative community-based seminars through which the young could learn about life and positive actions.
• Acting as a bridge to schools and other youth related facilities, by which disadvantaged and other youth could access the larger priveleged world.
• Creating job sourcing and job training facility by which the youth could be trained for and acquire such jobs.
• Help parents as they attempt to work with their youths who are troubled.
• Promoting and encouraging music and art education by which young people could implement self reliant actions.

FUNDING GOALS

Funding is needed to set up social functions for the purpose of fundraising. We will also rely on donations and contributions, which will be used to enroll a child into a music school*.

To meet its goals, the organization has created the following funds, through which resources would be raised to carry out the goals of the organization:

Youth Scholarship Fund
Center Building Fund
Program Development Fund

First and foremost, the artiste, Felina Backer, would like to thank her loving Savior for bestowing upon her the musical gifts and talents which allows her to reach others. She also would like to extend her gratitude, for giving her the opportunity to grow in His sacred ministry. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.

As you may already know, the album "Fikse Je-w Sou Jezu" which means "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" is doing extremely well due to your loving support. Nonetheless, the ministry cannot stop here. God has been good and we at Fayministries are determined to spread the gospel by launching a new and exciting program aimed to benefit our children, our youth - the future generations. Our mission is to establish programs which are designed to help young people get involve in the gospel and the community, and ultimately, keep them on a positive road.

Planning and organizing Felina's fall/winter 2002 concert is in progress. Watch for the advertisements. You can keep up to date with her schedule; please refer to her website address above.

Knowing what can go wrong when young people are left idle, we would like to start occupying their time by exposing them to the world of music. Our goal is to sponsor children to music schools with which we are affiliated. One of those schools, The Piano Academy, which is a school that is in good standing and has for instructors some of the most talented musicians, has agreed to help us with this undertaking. Another well-known school with which we are affiliated is the Brooklyn Conservatory, which is located in the downtown Brooklyn area. Fayministries

Statement of Purpose of Fayministries

Fayministries is a non-profit service-based organization established in November 1998. The purpose of the organization is to improve the musical skills of youths that are unable to attend a music school.

Individuals will be selected through a series of procedures. Applicants who are interested should send in a request for an application to compete in our annual musical competition where a set of professional musical judges will be present to select the best top candidates for sponsorship. Once selections have been made from our competition:

The selection Process:

1. Students will be required to fill out a questionnaire and submit an essay of at least 1,000 words where in they state their musical* interest, commitment, and how they feel it will benefit their community at large.

2. All students should send school records thereby verifying that they have met the grade level requirements and will be able to handle this sort of extracurricular activity.

3. Each student should send at least one letter of recommendation from a teacher, a pastor, or an accredited professional.

4. Application will be reviewed by a selected staff whereby a recipient will be anonymously be chosen.

* In some instances, a demonstration of their musical knowledge will be needed.
