On a quiet day in November a child of God was born. Some say that she was born with a special gift: the gift of reaching people through compassion and empathy and the gift of teaching others with patience and understanding. But most of all, with the use of her powerful voice, She was born with the gift of soothing and healing through song. While working on developing herself as a true artiste, she has never strayed from the Divine Scriptures. Rather, she has always used her talents to stay close to her Lord and ultimately help to lead others to Christ.

This young Christian Diva has inspired many to pursue their dreams while keeping God as their primary focus. In that vein, she decided to devote her talent to fulfilling God's will early in life.

>From her first performance at Horeb SDA church in 1983, it was obvious to all that they were witnessing the emergence of a star. In her own special way, she has worked to spread the news of Christ's return to all people – without deference to race, creed or denomination. In keeping with her teachings, the Artiste uses her talent and spirit to transcend negativity and serve as a driving force in her community.

In her still developing career, she has traveled extensively throughout the states and Canada. She has performed at numerous functions, including weddings, funerals, community events, concerts, formal affairs, banquets, conferences, and political events, just to name a few. She has performed before hundreds of thousands of people – including at Brooklyn College and for youth conventions and political rallies. Most recently, in December 1999, she was the lead performer at The Caribbean Images 4th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Awards Ceremony, where she was honored with an award for outstanding leadership -- an event which also featured and honored many well known and respected community and political leaders.

In 1991, she was the recipient of The French Gospel Music Awards (FGMA) for "Best New Female Artist.” In her quest to reach God’s people, she performs in four languages: English, Creole, French and Spanish.

She gives all praise and glory to her Father in Heaven for the inspiration and the ability to transform that inspiration into something positive. She has written and recorded a single entitled "Justis" (Justice) on Joy Records label. The message in this song is extremely powerful. It tells of the injustices we are faced with on a daily basis -- misuse of power, innocent killings through stray bullets and gunfire. The song’s message ends by telling us that only through God can we make things right. The song is part of a compilation effort album which features numerous Christian artists, choirs, and groups. Furthermore, on December 9, 2000, the Artiste released her first solo CD at her third anniversary concert. The CD features twelve recordings -- including ten original compositions. Her songs have been and will continue to be a blessing to all.

The Artiste’s is not merely a talented singer. She has been blessed with gifts that go far beyond, And, God willing, she plans to deliver much more in the near future. The artiste is also a very talented fashion and clothing designer and also lends a hand to decor -- including handcrafts, and interior decorations.

The Artiste is also a true believer in education, and is a teacher by profession. As an educator she encourages all young people to fully pursue their dreams and to set goals. A graduate of Baruch College, she is currently working on obtaining a masters degree in Mathematics Education.

With all of these accomplishments, this extraordinary young lady remains down-to-earth, “unconceited”, very approachable and friendly. She is also my very best friend. She humbly asks for your prayers in order to continue to fulfill God’s mission for her.
